San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested after his girlfriend, reality television star, Tila Tequila signed a citizen arrest accusing Shawne of choking her and restraining her against her will. Shawne Merriman was officially charged with battery and false imprisonment.
Update:
Shawne, in his defense, says that he was just trying to keep Tila from getting behind the wheel and driving drunk. Tila Tequila’s real name is Tila Nguyen.
