It might have been funny if the joke could have been reversed by a white comedian, but that will never happen."Get you some black boys & girls to get plenty of free government money", no one could ever getaway with that. It's not funny and it's racists...Just like Neicy. Kanye West has on his website a spot for the prettiest white woman. Could any white person do that without having hell rain down on him? Just like it should come down on that self-centered jerk Kanye. How has black people making fun of white people become okay? It's still racism? And by the way, what happened to Neicy's voice? She sounded so ghetto, I wasn't sure it was her at first. What? Does she feel that she has to talk differently around people who aren't of the same color? Was she trying to impress the audience? Did she think she would give that lame joke more credibility if she sounded more like what maybe she thought black should sound like?

A joke at the expense of people who are being an active part of making this world a better place and the children whose lives have been saved is ignorant beyond belief. If she and others who share this view have no compassion towards those who are willing to dedicate their lives towards making this world a better place, maybe she could work on opening her eyes enough to consider the children who have done nothing to deserve being made the butt of her stupid jokes. This is not lighthearted, it is evidence that our country is in an even more devastating place than I thought and that there are actually people out there who are closed-minded enough to have the audacity to criticize those who are making a difference...BET should be ashamed for allowing that pathetic woman to be a part of anything they do, let alone being a catalyst for her to voice her pathetic opinions. What are you doing to better this world, Neicy, other than attempting to make yourself feel better by way of your ridiculous condemnation for women who are not only affecting the lives of the children they have adopted, but are playing an active role in international aide and spending not only their money, but their time, their lives to help in whatever ways they can. This woman is disgusting, weak, and a pathetic representation of her race, this country, and humanity all together.

Well i thought it was funny - she was just poking fun.
celebrities adopting babies from third world countries is becoming some what of a trend and it was done in a light hearted way.
I dont think the audience was uncomfortable, i think they were just in awe and couldnt believe someone actully said that... as the subject is a little tabboo. I couldnt beleive she said it too! but it was still funny. People need to stop taking things so seriously! it was a joke - roll with it.

I was so shocked to hear Niecy Nash make this statement, you could see it on the audience members faces, they looked so uncomfortable. They made me uncomfortable to just be watching it from home. I wonder did she get home and watch it and say, "hmm maybe I shouldn't have done that". And whose parents allowed their kids to go on-stage and embark in that foolishness. She brought down the ENTIRE moral of the show. Oh well. Leave it to someone at the BET awards. It's always SOMETHING. Side Bar: Did anyone else have a problem with MC Lyte reading directly from the script book ON CAMERA?
