Update: Prince William and Kate Middleton engagement officially announced on November 16, 2010!
Finally, after years of dating and waiting, Prince William and Kate Middleton announced that they are finally ready to get married after 7 years. Sources say, Prince William will most likely propose to Kate Middleton sometime in February of 2011. They also added that there won’t be an announcement until Christmas in which time he will ask the queen’s permission. If Prince William and Kate do wed, it wouldn’t be until 2012; which will reportedly be a momentous occasion for the queen who will be celebrating 60 years on the throne. Additionally, Britain will also be hosting the 2012 Olympics.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are, surprisingly, very low-key as a couple. They even arrive and depart from events separately. According to further inside reports, the former bodyguard for William’s mother, Diana, has been quoted in the press saying, “There’s a sense this is the beginning, we may as well get used to seeing Kate in the royal arena”.
Whether or not the people of England think that Kate Middleton is fitting to be the next queen, she just may become part of the family.
