Looks like not everyone’s life is nice and peachy, especially if your Ke$ha. The 23 year old pop star is being sued by her former manager after signing a contract that said she would hand over 20% of her yearly earnings. Her former management company, DAS Communications, is suing the pop star for a whopping 14 million dollars! According to our sources, the management company is also telling the courts to speed up the process so that they receive their money before Ke$ha loses popularity and goes broke. The official court papers from DAS Communications’ lawyers state that Ke$ha “is a very young and inexperienced artist whose star may not continue to rise.”
DAS also claims that without their help she would have never made it where she is now. They stated, “although she has made an incredible amount of money in a very short period of time, in large part due to DAS’ efforts on her behalf, she could just as easily lose money if not properly guided.”
The company also blames another party, songwriter Dr. Luke, who convinced Ke$ha to drop them in September 2008 and sign on with RCA/Jive instead. DAS claims that the move was to try and oust them out of their money. Ke$ha and a team of lawyers have made a counter claim stating “she had every right in their deal to sever their business ties and that DAS is simply trying to cash in on income she earned elsewhere. Ke$ha or her lawyers have not yet commented on their filing.
