Here’s What Reportedly Happened and it’s all according to the Chris Brown GMA Outburst buzz
Chris Brown Storms Out of Good Morning America…Chris Brown made headlines again, this time for the incident involving the talk show Good Morning America. According to reports, Chris Brown stormed out of GMA studios shirtless after breaking a window in his dressing room with a chair. The outburst occurred after GMA anchor Robin Roberts supposedly asked Chris Brown too many “Rihanna” questions angering him. During the interview, Chris only wanted to talk about the release of his new album, F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies), saying “It’s not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I’m past that in my life. Today’s the album day, so that’s what I’m focused on.” But Robin Roberts continued to ask her questions, which GMA says Chris’ people pre-approved. Then Chris Brown became visibly agitated and defensively replied, “This album is what I want people to hear and people to really get into, so definitely this album is what I want them to talk about and not stuff that happened two years ago.” And later, after his performance, this is when Chris Brown is said to have left the stage, went to his dressing room, locked the door, trashed it and, although Chris was scheduled to perform again, he exited the building after ripping off his shirt.
The Reaction to the Chris Brown GMA Outburst:
ABC decided not to press charges and Chris Brown went on Twitter to tweet, “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t.” He also appeared on BET’s 106 & Park and apologize to anyone he offended or disappointed saying, “he had to release the anger inside of him”, explaining that “he thought they brought him on the show just to exploit him”. Chris’ F.A.M.E. debuts at #1 and Tammy Brook releases a statement saying she is no longer Chris Brown’s publicist.
Robin Roberts says “she was shocked like everyone else but Chris Brown new the questions were coming”. And ABC affiliates released a statement saying, “As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy, and that’s what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown”.
The next week, Chris Brown performed on the hit ABC show Dancing With the Stars. And the host of Dancing with the Stars, Tom Bergeron, goes on the Ryan Seacrest Radio Show, On Air with Ryan Secrets, and says it might not be to the advantage of the producers to have him interview Chris Brown.
“Well here’s the thing. I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him because my natural tendency would be to say something. So don’t put me in a position where you’re asking me not to say something, because I won’t really do that.” Also (jokingly?) saying that ABC execs will probably strap him to a Hannibal Lecter suit to keep him from saying anything that could make Chris Brown’s visit even more awkward.
The New York Post reports– “This was the best ever season opening results show for “Dancing” and with 19 million viewers- a whopping 31 percent increase over the same week last year.”
What’s our reaction?: Forget the camp, Chris Brown should come prepared and make sure he knows what he is walking into. In our opinion, ABC should have pressed charges, and it definitely looks like Chris Brown still has anger management problems and needs more counseling.
–AND society should not reward this kind of behavior!
