“As a major fashion magazine, spring fashion is a huge celebration for the creative minds and on-trend readers of 303 magazine. This weekend, we launch the highly anticipated Denver Fashion Weekend– a two night style extravaganza.” -303 Magazine.
First Class Fashionista asked AB Aharonian, publisher of 303 Magazine what it takes to put this kinda thing together. “It takes balls. It takes good networking. It takes people that know fashion. It takes a lot of good people working together,” says AB.
The opening night was a night of ready to wear high fashion. “We’re celebrating the boutiques featured on the pages of 303 Magazine every month. We asked them to come up with their favorite street trends and feature one designer. This is based on clothes and real women celebrating beauty. This is all about universal beauty and things they can go and pluck off the rack and wear the next night to the club, restaurant or on a date with their husband,” says Charlie Price, 303 Creative Director and Shear Genius reality TV star.
Denver Fashion Weekend brought out the most creative and fashionable of Denver! What we saw on the runway, and in the audience, was blown out hair with twists and braids or a chic side bun complimented by pouty red lips. Floral prints, stripes, polka dots, wide-legged pants and dresses with longer hemlines inspired by 40s fashion is a few of Denver Fashion Weekend’s Spring / Summer 2011 fashion forecast. We also loved the short and long easy to wear dresses reminiscent of 70s fashion. And the jean romper short jumper and, of course, the hats are definitely a trend to watch!
