Starting Monday Fitness Tip: Glass of Water and Lemon

What: Alright Fashionista, a couple of weeks ago we cut out that high calorie soda, now it’s time for a healthy alternative to help us quench our thirst; a glass of water with fresh cut lemons.

Why: Water with lemon has amazing health benefits and also helps promote weight loss. Surprisingly, this simple incorporation of lemon water into our lifestyle will help our digestive system clean out toxins, internal waste, and can even boost our metabolism.

How: Lemon is a known natural antiseptic that reduces the possibility of infection, sepsis or putrefaction. The pioneer of natural herbal remedies, Jethro Kloss, in his book Back To Eden, pointed out that “Lemon is an antiseptic, or is an agent that prevents sepsis [the presence of pathogenic bacteria] or putrefaction [decomposition of tissue]. It is also anti-scorbutic, a term meaning a remedy which will prevent disease and assist in cleansing the system of impurities.”

Lemon is also rich in Vitamin C, which will help boost our immune system and provides strength to the liver enzymes, which allows us to rid our body of toxins.
