Actor and Former Republican Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and Activist, Journalist and Author Maria Shriver, niece of John F. Kennedy, have officially separated. After 25 years of marriage, it looks like it’s over.
Said to be feeling unappreciated and miserable amidst rumors of cheating and Arnold Schwarzenegger just being impossible to live with, word is, Maria Shriver has moved out of the family home and into a Beverly Hills hotel. The couple, who were married back in 1986, released a statement saying, “This has been a great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together.”
A source close to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver says Maria has not been happy with Arnold for a while, explaining that she first wanted to call it quits in 2009 but decided not to because her mother passed away.
Arnold and Maria have asked for privacy, compassion and respect during this time of transition. “We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have for beautiful children, 21-year-old Katherine, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and 13-year-old Christopher, who they will continue to co-parent.
“We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of our lives.”
