Reggae Singer / Hip-Hop Artist Sean Kingston, best known for his 2007 hit “Beautiful Girls” and his remake of “Eeny Meeny Miney Mo” featuring Justin Bieber, was seriously injured while riding a Jet Ski in Miami on Sunday, May 29th around 6 pm ET. Sean Kingston was operating the watercraft with his female friend, Cassandra Sanchez, a video model, riding on the back when he is said to have attempted to go under the very low and narrow opening of the Miami Palm Island bridge connecting the MacArthur Causeway and crashed. Sean Kingston and Cassandra Sanchez were rushed to the Jackson Memorial Hospital by the Miami Fire Department. The next day, once his condition had been stabilized, “Sean Kingston was moved from the trauma unit to the ICU,” says Sean Kingston’s publicist, Joseph Carozza. Sean is aware of what is going on and has a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water in his lungs, TMZ reports.

Cassandra Sanchez released a statement about her experience moments before the accident happened. “We can’t fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean stop!, a frightened Cassandra Sanchez yells at Sean Kingston just moments before the accident.

Cassandra Sanchez says when she came to, she found herself in the cold water and in pain. Cassandra Sanchez is suffering from a bruised jaw and ribs, but says she’s okay and knows it was an accident.

“I know the whole thing is an accident. I won’t be pressing any charges or hiring a lawyer,” Cassandra Sanchez tells TMZ.
