We were proud to help announce the first celebrity couple (Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony) to design a separate collection for the same retailer at the same time, now we’re just excited to tell you about another “all in the family”, sister, sister, celeb collaboration.
The Simpson Sisters, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, have teamed-up to create an exciting new tween clothing line. The line will be launched under the Jessica Simpson Collection and will hit store shelves this Fall. The division is estimated to rake in an extra 20 million dollars for the year, and promises to be just as successful as the Jessica Simpson Collection. The new tween apparel will meet the fit and fashion needs of the today’s fashion-forward tween. The line will embody the Jessica Simpson Collection flair and will be just as trendy. It will have everything a tween will want, including jeans, hoodies, graphic tees, and so much more.
Jessica Simpson released a statement saying, “Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand. I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens.”
26-year-old Ashlee says she will be designing clothes to inspire young girls.
“My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion,” says Simpson.
To Jessica Simpson’s credit, her fashion business is worth almost a billion dollars and she was recently awarded US Weekly’s 2011 “Style Icon of the Year“.
