2011 Vans Warped Tour Denver Review

As someone who loves all sorts of music, I go to the “Vans Warped Tour” every year. Although it’s marketed to younger generations via social media outlets and alternative radio stations, this event is perfect for any alternative music listener.

This year was my fourth year going, and the range of music was wider than ever with everything from Rap to Ska, Punk to Acoustic, and even metal. This all day event cost a total of $40, not including food or beverage, and had upwards of 30 bands playing on eight different stages– Because choice is what the “Vans Warped Tour” is really all about! You have your choice to see the bands you like most, and all you have to do is get to the stage they’re playing at.

The food and retailer tents around the facility also offer a wide variety of goods to choose from. You can get fashions from several up and coming brands, as well as jewelry and band apparel. And the food choices are great! This year there was a buffet of different foods to choose from, including Chinese or classic American, and spirits and lemonade were also available.

This event is perfect for someone who loves alternative music! However, beware, it’s not for those who are “faint of heart”; and I don’t consider the “Vans Warped Tour” a family friendly atmosphere. But if you love drinking, alternative music, good food, and interesting crowds, this is the perfect summertime event!
