Come mid November, the men’s store located on the fifth floor of Madison Avenue’s “Barneys New York” will be transformed into “Gaga’s Workshop”. According to “The Window” at http://thewindow.barneys.com/lady-gagas-workshop, this will be the first time ever that “Barneys New York will convert an entire floor of its Madison Avenue flagship for the holiday initiative.”
With the help of artist Christophe Hamaide Pierson and Eli Sudbrack, Gaga’s Workshop will be transformed through the use of window displays and multimedia installations.
In addition to the ornamentation of the fifth floor, seasonal holiday shopping bags and packaging will be keeping up with the theme of Gaga’s Worshop too. We’ve heard the eye-catching shopping bags will display a cartoon interpretation of Lady Gaga rocking a Santa inspired jumpsuit with long blue hair.
Lady Gaga is also set to design a series of exclusive gifts to be sold in Gaga’s workshop. Some of which will be made available online and at “Barneys New York” stores nationwide. However, since the holidays are all about giving, “Barneys New York” will donate 25 percent of the proceeds sold to a charity of Lady Gaga’s choice.
Mark Lee, CEO of Barneys New York, explains the collaboration with the queen of pop.
“Partnering with her in this unprecedented collaborative way to create the largest and most all-encompassing holiday theme that Barneys has ever mounted is a thrill. As a New York City landmark, we wanted to celebrate Lady Gaga as a fellow New Yorker and amazing talent.”
