About 4 weeks ago, on Monday, August 1st, I shared just how excited I was to be chosen as a select Vogue Influencer to take the “Clarisonic 4 Week Challenge”! I have a Clarisonic toothbrush, I trust the brand, and I’ve always wanted to try the Clarisonic skin care cleansing system for the face.
I was ready for the challenge, not only as a select Vogue Influencer (of Vogue magazine) but as a women who lives in the suburbs of the mile-high city of Colorado and works and plays in an estimated 300 days of sunshine. In Colorado we love the outdoors and the sun, so after our work is done; we love to run, bike, hike and ski at an elevation of 5,280 ft or higher. Sun-kissed by the intense sun of Colorado (We even wear sunglasses in the winter!), the Clarisonic Challenge was the gift of “Me Time”, and an opportunity to treat myself to the end of summer, at-home facial I needed.
At the start of my Clarisonic Challenge, I wrote:
“When Vogue told me Clarisonic was offering me the chance to take the Clarisonic challenge for cleaner, clearer, healthier skin, I looked at my skin closely while applying makeup and thought, ‘Yes, I want to take the challenge.’ My pores were very visible and once the makeup settled, it even appeared as though I had blackheads on my chin!”

The Clarisonic Challenge: Experience the Difference.
Clarisonic promises to remove 6x more dirt, oil and makeup than “manual cleansing”, resulting in cleaner, clearer, healthier skin.
Getting Ready for My Clarisonic Challenge: Clarisonic Usage Tips
The first night, I opened my Clarisonic Plus Skin Cleansing System kit, I read the manual to make sure I would really put Clarisonic to the challenge. Truthfully, the Clarisonic 3 speed, with optional body timer, seemed a bit complicated at first–Well, I didn’t understand the beep indicators until I read the manual. The Clarisonic 3 speed has 3 different audible speed settings and 4 different audible cleansing timers (T-Timer), which includes an optional body timer.
For the Clarisonic Challenge, I chose the high speed and recommended, factory one minute T-Timer setting. The way the T-Timer works is: Brushing in small circular motions, starting at the forehead, listen for beeps to move on to your nose and chin and then your cheeks. This “Clarisonic Plus Skin Cleansing System” came with 3 cleansers and a refining skin polish for the body. I opted to use the Normal/Dry Skin Nourishing Care Cleanser for my face.
How Often to Use the Clarisonic: On the box it says, “Just one minute a day, for the best skin of your life.”, so the product is said to be safe to use everyday but I decided to use my Clarisonic 3x a week.
My Clarisonic Difference:
Week One Results: My skin felt cleaner because it was less oily and my pores were definitely less noticeable, even when I was wearing makeup.
Week Two Results: My skin was clearer and smoother.
Week 3 Results: With smaller pores, my makeup looked more natural. My skin was clearer, smoother, less oily, but had a radiant and healthy glow. During week 3 of my Clarisonic challenge– My friends even started to notice the change in my skin and asked me what I was doing!
Week 4 Results: My skin was visibly clearer, smoother, more evenly toned and looked and felt tighter. I took the challenge, and I’m experiencing the difference! Now, my makeup looks more natural because my pores are less visible, and the tone and texture of my skin has improved significantly.
I’m very glad I had the opportunity to try the Clarisonic for the face. I am experiencing the Clarisonic difference every day! Although I’m likely to have a mild breakout once a month (thanks to biology), while I was taking the Clarisonic Challenge, instead of six or more pimples showing-up on my beautiful face, I only had to worry about one or two this month– And they weren’t very noticeable.
Would I recommend the Clarisonic Plus to friends and family?
Answer: Yes! It’s an investment that will pay for itself.
When you’re on the go, there’s also the Clarisonic Mia, a compact design that comes in a variety of colors.
