Lady Gaga has taken her boldest move yet, ditching the costumes and revealing the face of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.
The latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar will debut a much different side to the over-the-top pop star. Usually known and recognized for her out of this world, eclectic fashion ensembles, Lady Gaga is wearing less, and revealing much more. The cover girl opened up in the issue saying,
“I think that artifice is the new reality. It’s more about being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I’m wearing lost of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”
Gaga continued to say, “I try to not focus on what people expect from me,” she says. “I think what has been lovely about my relationship with the public is that they expect something unexpected from me.”
Lady Gaga shared the cover with twitter followers, stating that, “It’s the first Black and White Cover printed in 20 YEARS!”
So is this new simplicity here to stay? Not likely, the 25-year old told Bazaar, “Look into the future and enjoy the ride.”
Lady Gaga was also featured in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year which showed a much more familiar side to the singer.
