Michael Kors NYFW 2012: It’s a Jungle Out There

Michael Kors NYFW Fashion Forecast

Michael Kor’s sun kissed models walked the runway in safari inspired looks. The show began with the introduction of lace-up gladiator inspired sandals, deep pocket cargo shorts and button down tee to set off the feeling of carefree desert attire. A camel-colored button-down jumper was contrasted with a dark leather belt and cross-body bag.

Tribal inspired prints lit up the runway as they were draped in the form of tunics and skirts. However, the safari inspiration would not be complete without its animal counter-part. A patchwork shift dress brought leopard and cheetah textiles together in a gorgeous cohesion. Figure-flattering swimwear was belted at the waist and worn with Kor’s knee-high sandals.

Sheer sweater dresses were a nice departure from the head-to-toe leopard looks. Overall neutral colors seemed to be the Michael Kors fashion show’s centerpiece, and a few boldly colored bohemian dresses added warmth to the collection.
