My New ALESYA BAG and Review!

A couple of months ago, I was granted the honor of being a brand ambassador for Alesya Bags in Charleston. As a part of that honor, I received a complimentary bag to help spread the word about the brand and for my own personal use.

My new Alesya bag in “equestrian tan” arrived this week, and it immediately made me feel privileged. The package was taped with Alesya Bags logoed packing tape—which just made it special.

ALESYA BAGS in the Box

The packaging contained a white canvas bag, which held yet another box: a white one with a pink logo and a pink ribbon. Why are things so much lovelier when they are elaborately packaged? I guess there is a reason why the word presentation has the word present in it.

It all felt so personalized. A mini pink envelope stuck between the layers of Alesya Bag tissue paper held a little card thanking me for my purchase (even though I received this gift completely free of charge):

Thank you for buying a bag,
you fabulous person you. We truly hope
this purchase not only completes,
but transforms your outfits.

Fabulous person? I was flattered. It did make me feel fabulous. But not as fabulous as when I finally opened the best part…

The bag.

It is just so perfect! Soft, sturdy leather complimented by brushed brass rings and zippers. It feels durable, high quality, designer. The best part of the best part? Pink lining!!!

The pockets are unexpectedly designed but make so much sense. The top one looks like it should unzip to the large main compartment—like most bags. But it is long and shallow! Perfect for pens, pencils, lip-gloss and keys. All those little things that get lost in the bottom of a bag, right on top for easy access.

The laptop compartment is an extra secure (pink lined!) pocket within a zipped frontal flap. It is big enough to accommodate up to 15” laptops. On that same flap is a smaller pocket with shelves for cell phones, ipods, makeup, etc.

The main compartment, (the one that you think is going to be revealed by the top middle zipper,) is actually the zipper on the other side. It is roomy—in fact, it is probably also big enough for a laptop. It is great for wallets, planners, journals, and snacks… I even folded up my work clothes and they fit in there.

The shoulder strap is not too long, which helps the hang comfortably under your arm and not bounce around on your hip. It is also wide enough that it supports the laptop’s weight without digging a trench in your shoulder.

I know I will have this bag for a lifetime. It goes with everything and is classy and chic, but practical enough to see me through many a job interview or casting call. For more information about Aleysa or to buy a fabulous bag of your own, visit
