The reality couple who wed before 8 million viewers on “Kim Kardashian’s Fairytale Wedding” is calling it quits after only 72 days of marriage.
E! released a statement confirming the divorce saying,
“The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family…”
Excited to share the news about Kim Kardashian’s wedding we wrote in a previous post, “On Saturday, August 20th, Kim Kardashian walked down the aisle in an ivory strapless full tulle skirt, hand pieced with lace applique on the train and bodice to say “I do” to Kris Humphries.”
Now it looks like it’s over, and people are talking…Is Kim Kardashian divorcing Kris Humphries because of the NBA strike? Or, was it all a hoax in the name of Reality TV?
There are more than just a few people like us that are finding this news shocking, including the groom. Kris Humphries reportedly found out just as everyone else did, via the internet. Kim K. filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her separation from the NBA basketball player.
Kim Kardashian spoke to Access Hollywood in regards to the news, “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage, I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don’t work out as planned,” said Kim K. explains.
Kris Humphries responded by saying, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
The couple just finished filming Kim and Kourtney Take New York, premiering on November 27th. There’s no word if E! will proceed to air this series.
