The Rag & Bone NYFW Fall 2012 runway stayed close to the design roots of urban influence. Designer Marcus Wainwright took what he saw during a trip to India as the mask for the underlining theme of the entire collection.
“The contrast of the very rich and the very poor; the very, very rich textures and the expensive and delicate embroidered textiles and then very base cloth. But both looking very beautiful,” explained Wainwright.
The influence is apparent throughout the clothing, and done with an edgy execution. The layers proved to be a perfect canvas for fall’s cooler temperatures. The collection itself is inter-mixable and gorgeously complimentary to the base layer silhouettes. The men behind the brand brought to life the texture and details of the fabrics through heavy contrast and unique materials.
