303 Magazine’s Denver Fashion Weekend started without a hitch, showing that high fashion is a quickly growing trend in Colorado.
Starting with Charlie Price’s men’s hair review with Scruples, we saw sporty, “shirt-less Anderson Coopers” walking down the runway in the “Future Prep” presentation. White combed-over locks accented with neon pink and green strands were paired with white athletic wear: soccer shorts, headbands, shin guards and golf gloves. The women’s styles were similar in that they were both retro and modern, but channeled the hot pin-up look rather than east coast prep. Their hair styles were classic and pretty with curls rather than covered in a white shellac.
The white theme continued throughout the evening with gowns by Soignée and Marie-Margot Bridal Couture. With Adele blaring, Soignee’s dresses brought a Hollywood vibe to the white evening gowns. Dark eyeliner and bare backs contrast the innocence of the white dresses and many were covered in gems and tulle.
Maggie Burns’ designs for Marie-Margot Bridal Couture dressed the models in chic dresses covered in sheer layers- capes, shawls and thin tulle skirts fashioned over the white looks giving them an extra moment. Her finale dress was the perfect princess bridal gown—full and airy at the same time.
It was a great start to the Denver Fashion Weekend, I can’t wait to see what happens tonight! Pictures and video coming soon.
