You’re Invited to the 26th Annual Max Fashion Show!

It’s fashion for a great cause!

This Friday, March 16th, Max Clothing Stores will present the 26th annual Max Fashion Show featuring New York based designer Maria Cornejo’s Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The ready-to-wear sophisticated designs have been seen on fashionable celebs like Tilda Swinton, Sandra Bullock and Carmen Diaz, and the First Lady Michelle Obama.

Cornejo, a two time Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt National Design Awards nominee and 2006 winner, will be making her very first public appearance in Denver. On the same day as the runway show, she will also host a Zero + Maria Cornejo trunk show at Max Clothing Store in Cherry Creek North. Fashionista, shop til you drop because Max is donating 10% of every sale from this collection to Children’s Colorado, this year’s benefiting charity.

And, if you can, it’s okay to splurge on a better runway seat for the night’s festivities at the Exdo Event Center. You surely won’t feel any residual guilt about the expense!

What: Max Fashion Show
Where: Exdo Event Center
When: Friday, March 16th
Doors open at 7:30pm

Proceeds from the Max Fashion Show ticket sales will also benefit the Mike McMorris Cystic Fibrosis Center in the Breathing Institute at Children’s Hospital Colorado to help children and families affected by the disease. The event’s co-chairs, Owner Max Martinez, Kathleen Beatty, Scott Seal and Tricia Youssi, chose to give to the Cystic Fibrosis Center after Beatty’s 30 year old daughter, Piper, had a double lung transplant. Piper is living with CF, and was treated at Children’s Colorado for most of her life.

“The Max Fashion Show is a celebration of beauty in every sense of the word. Throughout my struggle with this disease I have always looked to Max Martinez and his wonderful store for inspiration, spirit and love. It seems so fitting, therefore, that the Max Fashion Show, featuring the amazing designs of Maria Cornejo, is benefiting the important work of Children’s Colorado and its impact on everyone living with, and despite CF. On behalf of all of us; thank you for your support of this event, of the hope it represents and, above all, of the beauty,” says Piper.

I love to know it first, try it first and share it with you first! . At “First Class Fashionista”, we believe fashion is a lifestyle and, because at FCF we are beauty and brains, I believe being a true “Fashionista” doesn’t mean you have to spend first class money to travel first class, stay in 5 star hotels, dine at the finest restaurants or even rock the latest look of the trendsetting fashionista. I'm on a mission to inform and inspire. As always, thanks for reading. And, yes, sharing is caring--We appreciate you.
