First Class Fashionista Showcases Kohl’s Exotic Spring Trend

Exotic Trend

Spring’s 2012 exotic trend is full of bold statement pieces and color. To showcase this look, I took my inspiration from the leopard and polka dot combo and put my own spin on it. This reptile print blouse was loose fitting and I adored the side button features that made it easy to tuck in a skirt or pant.

However since this year Spring is all about color, the blouse was just asking for a vibrant counterpart. I found this gorgeous orange polka dot scarf while browsing Kohl’s accessories department. The scarf features small fringe details around the edges, which I think keeps it from looking like an ordinary accessory! Each piece is a part of the Apt. 9 collection, offering everything from clothing to shoes and accessories.

I love the versatility of the Apt. 9 pieces, each garment is intermixable throughout the line! I kept the bottom to a solid neutral black so the scarf and blouse would be the focal point of the look. Since the welcoming of spring means more sunshine, the sunglasses I am wearing from the Jennifer Lopez collection added a bit of downtown glamor, and the butterfly sides and gold detailing brought out the ombre color of the frames.

My Kohl’s experience made for a fabulous shopping trip. The employee’s were not only friendly but helpful as well. To end a great shopping trip—my savings made me do a double take, the everyday low prices make it almost impossible not to go back!
