Known for her distinct edgy design aesthetic, Pamela Love takes on a new challenge for a J.Crew collaboration. The designer was awarded the jewelry sponsorship from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which afforded her the freedom to design pieces that embodied both her own and J.Crew’s aesthetic.
The 3-piece collection emphasizes Love’s American Southwest inspiration. A sturdy cropped sleeve denim jacket plays host to a selection of bronzed pins. The piece goes along with the current Aztec and tribal hype that is playing out in a number of designer’s Spring/Summer collections. However this is far from your typical denim jacket, the lapels of the denim flip up to reveal a plaid lining. I really love it when designer’s think outside the box to deliver hidden surprises in their clothing.
In addition to her embellished jacket, the designer will be releasing skinny jeans, and a leather chevron belt. All which are distressed to perfection and easily stand alone as individual statement pieces.
Available in Stores or at www.JCrew.com, the items range from $135-$295.
