MTV Movie Awards Highlights and Fashion

It’s that time of year again, time to hand out the one and only golden popcorn! The 2012 MTV Movie awards hit downtown Hollywood Sunday evening, where celebrities graciously accepted their awards. The evening was curated by Russell Brand who, besides a few low blows, kept the evening humorous and entertaining. For those of you who decided to skip the annual awards, viewers were treated to a special sneak peak of The Dark Knight sequel, which is due to open in theaters July 20.

Twilight and Hunger Games went head-to-head during the nights show. Each movie took home several awards, but it was Hunger Games Stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson who took home best performance.

Young Hollywood favorite, Emma Stone, nabbed the MTV Trailblazer award, while Johnny Depp accepted the MTV Generation honor. The red-carpet served up its fair share of hits and misses, as attendees ranged from street casual to more award-show appropriate attire.The Amazing Spider-Man star looked timeless in a strapless V-cut Martin Grant dress. The now blond actress wore her hair pulled back in a loose bun and wore a coral lip.

Actress Jessica Biel arrived in a white mini-dress by Chanel, which flaunted her toned legs. We loved the styling of Biel’s natural and sleek-cut bangs. The 30-year-old paired her dress with a lucite bracelet and her diamond sparkler.

Twilight star Nikki Reed walked the red carpet in a gold beaded Randi Rahm dress. The actress paired her look with a Pierre Hardy clutch and matching peep-toe heels.

Emma Watson went for a bold look in a mini-dress by Brood. The high-neck silhouette featured intricate piping and a trendy graphic print. The Harry Potter actress added a pair of stacked studded cuffs to complete the look.
