This being the first time I visited Lola, I didn’t really know what to expect. A friend of mine who works at the beautiful restaurant told us that we had to try the guacamole—prepared fresh, table-side, for each guest. Being a specialist in coastal Mexican cuisine, Lola offers something to tickle every guest’s taste buds. 5280 Magazine Chef of the Year and LoLa owner, Jamey Fader, prepares the menu personally, based on the season, with dishes including but not limited to Lobster Quesadillas, Black Mussels, Shrimp Albondigas, Achiote Half Chicken, and the critically acclaimed Civiche Bar!
A great way to try Lola before you beg your boyfriend to take you there on a date is to come in for Happy Hour, which is all night on Mondays, Tuesdays- Fridays 4-6 PM, and 2:30- 5PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Lola offers half price on their specialty margaritas (which are made with 100% agave tequila, triple sec, and lime) and cocktails. They also offer discounted small plates and their famous tacos.
