Denver Fashion Week 2012 at Casselman’s Video and Pictures

Denver Fashion Week

The sixth day of Denver Fashion Week 2012 was held at Casselman’s Event Center. Friday, August 10th, was a night of fashion presented by Diluzional Entertainment. At this event; fire, air, wind, water and fashion became one with music, lights, sound and a runway featuring some of Denver’s best local designers.

During DFW2012, day 6, 3800 Records announced the release of their “Denver Sound” complication CD. This CD contains the hottest DJs, rap artists, bands and producers in Denver. Free style rap from Dr. Mandible Lecture is within this collaboration.

The DJ performances of the night were by:
Xax
Slikk
Dubauchery
Lee Harris
Erik Estrada
Rezn
Travis Trax
Kid Everlast

The first designer to hit the stage was Jenny Diluzio. Fittingly, this designer followed the opening entertainment showcasing the best go-go dancer costumes. Dominating the runway, this collection excited and commanded the attention of its audience as it rocked to a steady beat throughout the entertaining presentation.

Gabriella Martinez was the next designer. The award winning wedding gown, evening wear and special occasion dressmaker featured a beautiful peacock printed garment, asymmetric and hi-low hemlines, pleats, criss-cross back straps and v-back design details. A few of her pieces can be described as tribal, midwestern, Asian, and Hollywood inspired. She also featured a few pieces from her recently launched menswear line, which includes tailored sports jackets and graphic tees.

Stephanie Ann revealed wide belts, tangerine and turquoise floral print designs, velvet, chocolate colors, striped designs, cut-outs, swimwear cover-ups, and futuristic looking hoodies. Her collection included a red tube top paired with a hounds tooth print skirt. We also loved her halter dresses.

Flipping the audience off, Outlaw Clothing introduced graphic t-shirts and muscle shirts, dark blue jeans, striped white and black flared pants, distressed blue jeans, sequined hot pants, black high heels, straight leg jeans, and off the shoulder black tunics.

The final designer was Syc Fuk. Based out of Los Angeles and worn by celebrities, the company name stands for “Street Youth Culture for Unwanted Kids”. The brand showcased melting heart, SYC LUV and skull cross graphic tees, western boots, off the shoulder tunics, flared blue jean pants, low scoop neck t-shirts, striped black and white flared pants, I Love Denver shirts, and vinyl leggings.

Denver Fashion Week and its designers would like to to remind its fans and supporters that if they like any of the designs showcased at DFW2012, take them home! Outlaw Clothing and Syc Fuk clothing, as well as many other locally made designs, can be purchased at Denver’s own New Culture Boutique. Stay tuned for more coverage of the 2012 Denver Fashion Week.
