The only thing missing from this Hawaiian inspired collection was the white sandy beaches and ocean waves. The sounds of the ukulele signaled the beginning of the show, where models with tall peacock feathers, palm fronds and air-dried hair strutted the runway.
Knee length skirts and maxi dresses in breezy fabrics were paired with balconette style tops and colorful cuff bracelets. Fashionistas familiar with the designer know that Hoffman is no stranger to bold colors. Next year’s spring collection highlighted fierce fuchsia, dayglo yellow, cobalt blue, and vivid orange.
Quilt Work inspired prints were seen on blazers, high-waisted shorts and bikinis. Some of our personal favorite pieces in the collection were looks which were infused with the rich cobalt blue (see double-slit maxi!).
Hoffman kept the makeup natural with strong, filled in brows and added color to the lips and cheeks, giving the models the perfect “sun kissed” look.
