Identify Thief, starring Jason Bateman, Melissa McCarthy, Jon Favreau, Amanda Peet, T.I. Harris, and Genesis Harris, came out February 8, 2013 and is still in theaters. Earning 9.7 million dollars so far, this laugh out loud comedy has not left the top of the box office list.

Sandy Bigelow Patterson (Jason Bateman) is married with two kids with another baby. Patterson is struggling to move up in his career and is at a crossroads in his life. He’s trying to deciding if his job is worth all the effort. Figuring out that it was time to move on and begin a new business with some friends, he becomes vice president of a new company. When things start to look up for Sandy Patterson, he figures out that someone is “living the life” using his identity. Leaving his home in Colorado, he goes on an adventure in Florida where he tracks down the woman behind it all.

Melissa McCarthy, from “Mike & Molly”, is absolutely hilarious in this movie. She plays a woman who made a career out of stealing people’s identities. Her character, Diana, is a mastermind at becoming other people and living off their credit cards. Sandy convinces the pretend Sandy Patterson take go back to Colorado with him and help clear his name at his new company. On the way, they run into a lot of interesting problems.

This movie is a true comedy that everyone should see, and I promise you will be falling out of your seats with laughter. Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman worked well as the leading rolls in this movie. It was great to see that a film based in Colorado is doing so well in the box office and, again, everyone should see it.

Here is a great YouTube trailer.
