‘Tis the season for holiday gatherings and wonderful galas. There’s nothing a fashion blogger, like me, enjoys more than dress-up. That’s why Conair personally selected me to be a part of their “Holiday Secrets for Your Luscious Locks” new beauty tool tell-all. From casual to black-tie events, I try to go for a specific look that I first put together in my mind. For me, the fun part of it all is what to wear and when. I love dressing myself but when it comes to completing the polished look, hair and makeup is truly my real challenge.
If I don’t feel like chancing it and if I have time, I make an appointment at a salon or have my hairstylist and fellow FCF blogger Marissa L come to my home. I admit I usually get a good deal either way. Nevertheless, the costs of being a fashionista who attends a lot of events throughout the year can really add up, so after buying the dress and planning to get my nails done (etc), I often choose to do my own hair. I’m getting pretty good at creating a sleek and straight style or the sophisticated high-pony, but curls have never worked out for me.
That’s why I was super excited to try the new Infinity Pro by Conair Secret Curl.
I also got a new blow dryer, the Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Styling Tool, which I needed.
So here’s a picture of my hair just before trying the Secret Curl.
This is the day I tried to curl my hair for Denver’s Red Ball last month but it absolutely refused to cooperate. I had to go with my version of straight with a bit of body…Curls just have never worked out for me……Until Secret Curl.
I was only headed off to dinner and a Nuggets basketball game, so I wanted to do something simple to compliment my sparkly holiday sweater. With plenty of curl achieved, I think I nailed the Charlie’s Angels “like” hairdo. I kept the makeup simple with Bare Minerals foundation, Maybelline Mascara and Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss.
The curl lasted all night. During halftime, I went down to Blue Sky Grill to hang-out (It’s a Denver thing to do.), and I couldn’t resist this festive holiday photo opp. Blue Sky Grill is where you go to meet up with your friends and be seen at the game. It’s also a celebrity hotspot when the right team is in town.

To get my hair to curl, first I plugged in the Secret Curl and then washed and conditioned my hair. Next, I added a little argon oil and dried it with the Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Styling Tool. This blow dryer dries extremely fast and leaves hair shiny and manageable. What I liked most about it is how quiet it is. It’s also energy efficient and has a brushless motor, which increases the life of the dryer by 10x (Translation: 5,000 hours of more drying time). I’m sure Marissa, my hairstylist, can appreciate this.
Now the Secret Curl steps. It’s elementary my dear. I followed these easy steps found right on the side of the Secret Curl box.
The Secret Curl is just like the heated rollers you remember but with a clipless feature. You just push the two ends of the roller together. Imagine rolling your hair on a retractable spool or something. I wanted to say, you just snap it together but push is actually more accurate.
Since I knew my hair is a challenge to curl, I let the Secret Curl heat up the entire time I was washing, conditioning and drying my hair. Also, to make sure my curl would set I used a little hairspray during the rolling process (you may not need to do this). Then, as directed, I let the rollers cool completely and I took them out just before I was ready to go. Would I recommend this product? Yes and I think it’s a great gift idea.
