This just in. Save the Date for March 19th at The Cable Center, located at 2000 Buchtel Blvd— Imagine a day of mentoring, fashion advice from TLC’s Monte Durham, the opportunity to select a free prom dress while getting your hair and makeup professionally done, and then walking the runway.
For 40 Lincoln High School girls this dream will become a reality on March 19, when they participate in SAY YES TO THE PROM.
JCPenney is excited to partner with TLC for their fourth annual Say Yes to the Prom, which aims to help build confidence, courage and self-image of deserving young high school students all-over the country in preparation for their prom night! The goal is to help young ladies feel glamorous for their prom night and promote positive self-image. The event goes beyond the dress, empowering young women with mentoring workshops and sessions with industry professionals. With one-on-one makeup consultations, tips from style experts, prom dress shopping from a selection of nearly 2,500 donated dresses and makeovers at each event, JCPenney and TLC’s partnership makes this important milestone that much more accessible for the girls!
Nick Stenson, Artistic Director for jcp Salon and Monte Durham, star of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta will be at five nation-wide events (NYC, LA, Miami, Denver and Silver Spring) to give the girls expert advice on completing their fairytale prom look, from head to toe!
